Valentine's Day is almost upon us. Valentine card creating/sending is way more fun to me than Christmas card sending. I TRY to be funny. I hope I succeed.
Eric and I used to be members of 'bachelor-nation.' And by Eric, I mean he would watch me watch the show and get angry that he didn't sweep me off my feet into a hot air balloon only to have been serenaded by my favorite singer (James Taylor). I mean cmon, that's totally in our budget, right?!?! In recent seasons, it's gotten a bit too political for me so we've stopped watching but I still adore the old seasons of the train-wreck that is "The Bachelor." Jillian Harris was my favorite ever-I still follow her on social media and love the style advice she gives petite girls! Here is a look and instructions for making some "Bachelor" inspired Valentines that will make you crave some cheesy pick-up lines and scenes of people looking off into the distance... (And slow-mo's of men running down a beach shirt-less)
1. Bribe your adorable child/children for a quick photo shoot. My boys both are not big photo-takers but add a little candy and most of the time, I can get a good photo. I dressed them both up in something Valentines-y (a red sweater for Ty and a suit and tie for Charlie) then I found a blank wall in my house and posed them. I tried to have them hold a fist so I can add the flower later but as you see, only Ty's worked out.

2. Then I used Walgreens to edit them with text. You can use any program but I saved a step using the store I would print from. I edited it with a children's style handwriting until I got what I wanted. Then I printed them as photo cards from Walgreens. I love Walgreens Photo website because it's very user-friendly and there are always promo codes to make your order significantly cheaper.

3. Next step was super easy! Just hole-punch out where you want the flower to be inserted in the picture.

I had bought these adorable chocolate roses from Target! And inserted them into the picture to create these adorable Bachelor-inspired Valentines. The boys will be passing these out in their classrooms during Valentine swap and I think these 2 bachelors will be getting lots of play-dates out of them.
4. PASS OUT TO ALL YOUR LOVED ONES!!! Ty already has at least 2 girlfriends and Charlie is more an introvert so he's just waiting for the right girl. Both of these boys will be my Valentines-I already asked- but I am more than happy to share! Happy Valentine's Day and remember, it's not just about having a significant other. Some of my favorite Valentines are friends and family-so spread the love, give hugs and tell EVERYONE you love how much they mean to you. <3

Thought I would share our last year's Valentine because it's also Bachelor-inspired. I had lots of fun with this one. I made the card on shutterfly-had to use up all those Pamper's diaper points.
